PEMF therapy to reduce inflammation
Effective alternative treatment for young and old. Prevention. Healing. Cure.
On this page you find information on what inflammation is and why PEMF therapy is recognised as a suitable alternative therapy
The areas that Renaissance PEMF devices can be used to treat inflammation are but not limited to:
- Arthritis in patients suffering from psoriasis
- Bone marrow inflammation (osteomyelitis
- Asthma (bronchial asthma)
- Inflamed colon, Crohn’s disease
- Inflammation of spinal nerve roots (polyradiculoneuritis)
- Inflammation of the ovaries and of the fallopian tubes
- Inflammation of the urinary tract
- Inflammation of the vagina and vaginal discharge
- Inflammatory diseases of the middle ear (otitis media)
- Kidney inflammation, colic
- Joint arthrosis
- Knee arthrosis
- Prostate – inflammation, enlargement
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Sinusitis – sinus infections
- Uterine inflammation and endometritis
PEMF therapy is an emerging treatment for both acute and chronic inflammation. Multiple studies which are sited below from the NIH Pubmed website show the effectiveness of Using PEMF treatment to reduce inflammation and the associated pain.
Much illness is characterised by inflammation, this is because it’s our bodies way to protect itself against harm, such as bacteria, pathogens and viruses, damaged cells through injury or illness, and irritants and toxins. In essence inflammation is the immune system working, it does this in two ways. Firstly, acute inflammation is what happens after you cut yourself, bang your head or knee. In this case white blood cells are dispatched by the immune system to protect and surround the damaged area; this would be in the form of swelling and redness. Without this process injuries and infections might not heal and could become life threating. This is also true of viral infections such as flu or pneumonia.
Secondly, we have chronic inflammation, this can last for months or even years and is detrimental when it occurs in otherwise healthy tissue. Chronic inflammatory diseases are responsible for a huge number of deaths each year and are associated with lung and cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other metabolic diseases, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and much more.
The Casso Applicator
This shows the lines of magnetic field produced by the Casso applicator.
It allows for increased blood flow through the whole body

There are six applicators in the Renaissance range. The user guide explains which applicator you should use depending on the condition you are treating.
Each program of the Duo Forte generator (the controller that comes with every set) has been configured to perfectly heal the desired soft tissue, intensity, frequency etc.
So how can PEMF therapy help?
The exact mechanism of why pulsed electromagnetic fields work so well in healing the body and reducing inflammation are not totally understood. What we do know is, that without the use of pharmaceuticals and evasive intervention PEMF therapy works. If we look at the abstract in the Pubmed paper from 2013 we see that PEMF exposure increases the anti-inflammatory effects of the A2A or A3AR receptors. These are the adenosine receptors (Ars) that inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokine release, in other words they help to bring down inflammation.
Daily use of PEMF therapy helps the body regulate its response to inflammation and strengthens the immune system. When targeting as specific problem or area of the body twice daily treatment is recommended. We can see from a study produced in 2021 regarding the use of PEMF therapy on the reduction of hyper-inflammation triggered by Covid-19 that in a period of 48 hours a significant reduction in inflammation had been recoded (around 20% over a 2-day period). Those suffering with long term chronic inflammation will need more time fully realize the results but the sooner treatment starts the better.
PEMF therapy will not only reduce pain and inflammation in the targeted area but will begin to heal and regenerate soft tissue to repair the body and prevent the ailment from returning in many cases.
