Arrhythmia
In the UK more than 2 million people experience arrhythmia or heart rhythm problems and although a majority of those with an abnormal heartbeat can lead a normal life providing it is properly diagnosed it can lead to sever complications including stroke and cardiac arrest.
PEMF therapy is an effective way to treat cardiovascular problems and maintain overall wellbeing
Page overview.
- Condition Overview: Arrhythmia, often manifesting as atrial fibrillation, affects heart rhythm and is common in various age groups, especially older adults.
- PEMF Therapy Benefits: Supports cardiovascular health by helping stabilize heart rhythms, potentially reducing the need for medication.
- Recommended Usage: PEMF applicators are advised to be placed on the chest or mid-back for optimal results.
- Safety Note: Consultation with a healthcare provider is advised before starting PEMF.
Arrhythmia
This is a condition in which the heartbeat is irregular, too fast, or too slow. A heart rate that is too fast is called tachycardia, and a heart rate that is too slow is called bradycardia.
Make sure you consult your medical specialist regarding the use of PEMF therapy in your case.
How PEMF therapy helps.
It is recommended that an applicator is placed on the mid-back (thoracic spine area). Patients with paroxysmal tachycardia (heart palpitations) regularly experience a decrease in the number and length of fits as their heart rate stabilizes. Also, PEMF therapy prevents recurrence of arrhythmia. Cutting down on medication is frequently possible subject to your doctor’s consent.

Best Practices and Safety
– It’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider before starting PEMF, especially for heart-related concerns.
– Use PEMF consistently but carefully, noting any changes in symptoms and adjusting as needed.

Arrhythmia and PEMF Therapy: Enhancing Heart Rhythm Naturally
Arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat, can range from mild to serious, impacting daily life and overall health. At Nice Care, we explore how Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy may support heart rhythm stabilization, complementing traditional medical approaches.
How PEMF Therapy Supports Heart Health
PEMF therapy stimulates cellular activity, helping restore balance in the autonomic nervous system and regulate the heart’s electrical impulses. Regular therapy sessions may lessen the recurrence of irregular rhythms and reduce dependence on medication. For optimal results, the PEMF applicator can be placed near the chest or mid-back, targeting the heart area for a direct effect.
What Research Says
Emerging studies suggest PEMF can positively impact cardiovascular health by enhancing circulation, reducing inflammation, and promoting cellular repair. Although more research is needed, current findings are promising, highlighting PEMF’s potential as a supportive tool in managing arrhythmia.
Arrhythmia
The most common type of arrhythmia is atrial fibrillation (AF), this is where the heartbeat is irregular of faster than normal. All age groups can be affected by this although generally it is more likely in the elderly. As with all types of cardiovascular problems, excess alcohol intake and being overweight are a big factor. Arrhythmia can happen after cardiac events such as heart failure or heart attack.
Diagnosis of arrhythmia is usually by way of an ECG which monitors the heart, this may take anything from a day up to two weeks. Studies using PEMF therapy as a treatment for arrhythmia show great results and maybe better than medication, operations, and implants such as pacemakers. We would always recommend talking to your health care professional about what is best for you.
It may not always be possible to stop arrhythmia from developing but changes to lifestyle should go a long way in helping avoid the triggers for heart rhythm problems are other heart related diseases and issues.
Using PEMF therapy to treat arrhythmia aims to prevent future episodes. There are very few non-invasive treatments that have been shown to do this.
The use of PEMF therapy once a problem has been diagnosed can yield the same benefits. Don’t wait until the problem get worse before beginning treatment, Even if you are healthy and active daily PEMF therapy can slow down or prevent problems occurring in the first place.
Pulsed EMF applied to the vagal trunks or noninvasively across the chest can significantly reverse AF inducibility.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25533588/ – The use of low-level electromagnetic fields to suppress atrial fibrillation
PEMF stands for Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field. Devices and equipment that use PEMF technology send out electromagnetic waves at different frequencies to stimulate and encourage the body’s natural recovery and healing process. Depending on the area of the body and what the process is treating, depends on the frequency range.
Put simply the human body is made of trillions of cells, cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The cells in body are continually vibrating but when they become old or damaged this movement slows down and the ability to function properly is reduced. The electromagnetic field produced by PEMF therapy stimulates cells and encourages the Vibration in them to speed up. In turn the body feeds the cells nutrients and the cells are repaired.
One of the greatest advantages of magnetotherapy is that it is natural, and therefore not addictive, unlike many pharmacological treatments
Pulsed electro-magnetic field therapy is successfully used in fields such as internal medicine, orthopaedics, sports medicine, balneology, rehabilitation, paediatrics, geriatrics, dermatology, neurology, dentistry, urology, and in veterinary medicine.
